THE COLLECTION

Every report
becomes part of
the record.

The Department of Strange Phenomena collects, preserves, and studies reports of unusual occurrences from across the country. Through careful observation, honest documentation, and the work of a growing public research network, the archive continues to expand one note, photograph, sketch, and firsthand account at a time.

Not every report becomes a discovery.

Every report becomes part of the record.

Notice Carefully. Record Honestly.

FIELD DOCUMENTATION SERIES

The Observation Journal

The official journal of the Department’s Citizen Observation Program, created for documenting what happened before details begin to disappear.

Use it to record unusual sightings, environmental conditions, sketches, locations, witness accounts, unanswered questions, and anything that may become important later.

Record sightings and firsthand accounts

/Add sketches, maps, notes, and measurements

/Log dates, locations, weather, and environmental conditions

/Compare recurring details across multiple observations

   /Preserve findings for future review

Curiosity begins with paying attention. Documentation begins with writing it down.

INSIDE THE DEPARTMENT

The Department’s work extends beyond the archive. Explore the divisions, programs, reports, and methods that shape every investigation.

Research Divisions

Incoming reports are organized by subject so investigators can compare observations across locations, seasons, and decades.

Citizen Observation Program

Members of the public contribute field notes, sketches, photographs, environmental details, and firsthand accounts to the Department archive.

Recently Filed

Review selected reports currently under consideration, including unusual atmospheric events, unidentified objects, biological curiosities, and unresolved field observations.

Department Method

Every investigation begins with four essential instruments: careful observation, accurate documentation, thoughtful comparison, and the willingness to keep questioning.

Somewhere, someone is noticing something unusual.

Most people will dismiss it.
A few will pause, take notes, and preserve the moment before it disappears.

Those observations become tomorrow’s archive. Every record begins with someone willing to look a little closer. Start with the object that caught your attention, then return whenever you are ready to add another piece to the collection.
